Terms and Conditions

Article 1 – Definitions

1.1 Landlord: (Fam.) P. Scheffer
1.2 Tenant: the person making the reservation and responsible for all co-guests
1.3 Chalet: Chalet Presseggersee in Hermagor-Pressegger See
1.4 Co-users: all registered guests

Article 2 – Applicability

2.1 These terms apply to all reservations
2.2 The tenant accepts these terms upon booking
2.3 The terms are provided by email and available on the website

Article 3 – The Chalet

3.1 Detached chalet for a maximum of 10 persons
3.2 Facilities must be used in accordance with their intended purpose
3.3 Use is strictly limited to recreational stays

Article 4 – Payment

4.1 50% deposit required upon booking
4.2 Remaining balance + €500 security deposit due no later than 30 days before arrival
4.3 Amounts under €500 must be paid in full immediately
4.4 Failure to pay may result in cancellation

Article 5 – Security Deposit

5.1 Serves as a guarantee for damages and additional costs
5.2 Refunded within 7 days
5.3 Deductions may be made for damages, excessive cleaning, or other costs

Article 6 – Cancellation

6.1 Up to 60 days before arrival: 25%
6.2 60–30 days before arrival: 50%
6.3 30–14 days before arrival: 75%
6.4 Less than 14 days: 100%
6.5 No-show: 100%
6.6 Recommendation: take out cancellation insurance

Article 7 – Use and Occupancy

7.1 Main tenant must be at least 23 years old
7.2 Maximum occupancy of 10 persons
7.3 Exceeding this limit → immediate termination without refund
7.4 No parties, nuisance, or illegal activities

Article 8 – House Rules

8.1 House rules will be sent in advance by email
8.2 Also available on the website and in the chalet
8.3 Compliance is mandatory

Article 9 – Access and Keys

9.1 Digital access via a link
9.2 Two physical digital keys available in the chalet
9.3 Loss will be charged

Article 10 – Electric Charging

10.1 Charging only via charging stations, not via regular sockets
10.2 RFID access available via the landlord
10.3 Initial meter reading is 0 and visible
10.4 Use of personal equipment is not allowed
10.5 Costs will be charged afterwards

Article 11 – Linen and Cleaning

11.1 Linen and final cleaning are included
11.2 Additional linen available upon request
11.3 Excessive cleaning will be charged

Article 12 – Internet

12.1 Guest network available
12.2 Use at own risk

Article 13 – Safety

13.1 Smoke detectors available
13.2 Fire extinguishers available
13.3 Responsible use is required

Article 14 – Cameras

14.1 Cameras are installed outside only
14.2 Always switched off during the stay
14.3 Camera overlooking the parking area can be activated upon request
14.4 Used only in case of incidents

Article 15 – Liability

15.1 Use at own risk
15.2 Tenant is liable for damages
15.3 Landlord is only liable in case of proven negligence

Article 16 – Tourist Tax

16.1 Charged separately
16.2 Required information must be provided

Article 17 – Privacy

17.1 GDPR applies
17.2 Personal data is used only for necessary purposes

Article 18 – Force Majeure

18.1 In case of force majeure, the rental amount will be refunded

Article 19 – Final Provisions

19.1 Austrian law applies
19.2 Disputes will be settled in court
